2021 Pandemic FFL Rule Change Vote

 Hello Plague Baring Fiends.

Below will be all the info on the potential rule changes that are going to be voted on.  This will be the companion piece to the Google Form where we cast out Votes.  The Google Form will direct you to read over the rule changes and then vote on them.

Thank you for making the first year of the league so much fun.  Now on to the suggestions I have collected during the year.

KR/PR TD

 1 - 2020 Season the Defense and the Return man both received 6 points for a KR/PR TD.  For 2021 W1e are voting to keep it the same OR have just the Defense or just the Returner receive the 6 points.   (I only noticed one game where a coach had both the Defense and the Returner on his active roster and received 12 points for a KR/PR TD).

2 - Free Agency - There were a bunch of Free Agency type submissions and this is the one that I liked the best.

     - This Rule would not go active until after our 3rd full season (after the 2022 season).

      - This Rule is designed to help balance out the power of the league a little bit so that the teams who aren't doing so well have a chance to build a better roster and become more competitive

    - After the season ends, before other transactions can occur, The 6 teams who were competing for the toilet bowl get to select 1 player from any team in the league to claim as their Free Agent.

    - Every Team gets to protect 6 players that cannot be chosen.

    - If someone has a player selected from their roster, the remainder of their players are then protected and they cannot lose another player.

    - Teams that lose a player receive a compensatory 2nd round rookie selection (at the end of the second round, given out in terms of place finished).

3 - Non Playoff teams 1st round draft picks are randomized in a lottery (except toilet bowl winner who receives the #1 overall)

4 - Kickers - Even though the Commish is 100% against Kickers - Some people are born with inverted nipples and want kickers in the league.  (I promise, if you vote to have kickers in the league I still have one more asshole trick up my sleeve)

5 - QB Scoring - This rule is intended to make it so the great QBs really rise to the top and the mediocre ones suffer a little bit more.    QB TDs would increase to 6 points but their Interceptions points will change to -3 instead of -1.  So there is a big difference between Aaron Rogers throwing 48 TDs with 8 Ints and Winston throwing 48 TDs with 25 Ints.

6 - Defense -  Vote to Remove the Defense Position and replace it with IDP (Individual Defensive Players).

     - If this change happens we will approach adding IDPs in a slow and incremental way. 

     - 2021 - Everyone has until April 1st to finalize the Defense on their team (change a D in free agency).

                   - Every team will select  (From the defense on their roster) 1 Defensive Lineman,  1 Linebacker and 1 Defensive Back.  The rest of the players will get released into free agency.

    - 2022 - We will add one Linebacker and one Defensive Flex position (5 total positions)

     - 2023 - We will add one DB and a second Defensive Flex Position (7 total positions)

7 - Rookie Flex Rule Change - New Rule is you Must Start a Non-QB Rookie every week.  No longer has to be in a flex position (Can be in the RB/WR/TE Spot instead) to help make managing rosters easier.

8 - Thanks to the majority of people approving it, the league dues were increased to $60 to increase payouts and for trophy support.
