Pandemic Football 2020 Playoff and Toilet Bowl Brackets

My golly teams, this has been a rocky NFL year so far but through thick and thin the NFL managed to force their teams to play games so that us nerds could have a Fantasy Football Season.

With that being said, the 2020 regular season has come to a close and the next three weeks will be the playoffs.

Playoff Rules for the Pandemic Football League:

6 Teams will compete for the championship over the course of weeks 14, 15 and 16.

The Top 2 Division Winners get the bye

Week 14 - The 2 teams with the highest total points advance and the two teams with the lowest total do not.

Week 15 - The two teams that dropped out in week 14 will play head to head. Winner gets 5th place and loser gets 6th place.  The other 4 teams compete and the two highest scoring teams go to the championship.

Week 16 - The two teams that dropped out after week 15 play head to head. The winner gets 3rd place and the loser gets 4th place.  The other two teams play for the championship.

Pandemic Football Playoff teams for 2020:

The Meat Curtains - 10-3 - Division Winner

Gucci Geckos - 7-6 - Division Winner

Don Flamingo's Hairpieces - 7-6 - Division Winner

Las Vegas Asteroids - 9-4 - Best Record not previously qualified.

Scumdogs - 8-5 - Most Seasonal Points not previously qualified

And the Final Playoff Spot is given to the team who scores the Most points the last 4 weeks of the season (not previously qualified).

The Football Team with a total of 605.44 points the last four weeks of the season.

(Rams City was the runner up with 587.68)

Toilet Bowl Rules for the Pandemic Football League

The 6 Non-Playoff teams will compete for the ultimate Prize - the Toilet Bowl AND an extra 1st round draft pick (Pick number 1.13)

The Toilet Bowl is settled as follows.

Week 14 - The two teams with the Least points for the season get the bye.  The remaining 4 teams compete and the four teams with the Lowest Total Points advance to week 15.

Week 15 - The two teams that "Lost" play head to head with the winner getting 7th place and the loser getting 8th place.  The remaining 4 teams compete and the two teams with the Lowest Total Points advance to week 16.

Week 16 - The two teams that "lost" play head to head with the winner getting 9th place and the loser getting 10th place. The remaining two teams compete for the Toilet Bowl Prize, the team with the Lowest Total Points "wins" the toilet bowl, places 12th and gains the extra first round pick.  The team that scores the most points takes 11th place.

During Week 15 and Week 16 the teams that are not competing for a prize or a place will play each other for Shits and Giggles in a manner that the commissioner deems appropriate. (If allowed by Sleeper)

Also - To avoid Toilet Bowl Teams Tanking (TBTT) the rules for teams competing for the Toilet Bowl are as follows.  Total Team Score is decided by Best Ball Rules.  After the games are played, the best possible lineup for each individual team (including Bench Players, but not Taxi Squad) will be used to determine the total team score for the declaration of winners and losers.

NOTE: These rules are ONLY for teams actively competing for the Toilet Bowl.  Coaches are encouraged to still set their best (guess) possible lineups as if regular rules applied.

These rules were put in place to make sure teams weren't benching their superstars and subbing in Scrubs picked off the waiver who won't play nor score.  We want all Pandemic Dynasty Teams to continue to build the best possible rosters that they can so they will be competitive the following season and beyond.

Rams City was Runner up for most points scored Last 4 Weeks (not in playoffs) AND was also the 2nd lowest scoring team in the league meaning during the stretch he turned his team around and nearly made the playoffs.  THIS is what the spirit of that rule is all about.  So Close, so bloody close.

NoTe: if sleeper let's me track all teams and points scored during playoffs then bye weeks will be eliminated and it will be:

14 - 6 teams compete.

15 - 4 teams compete

16 - deciding week.
