Some Rules to Rule them All
Here is a list of rules that I have had typed up all nice and fancy like.
Feel free to question anything or make suggestions.
The main rule that is different than what everyone is used to is the PLAYOFFS.
The Toilet Bowl playoffs will not change.
However, I would at least like feedback on the Playoffs to the Championship.
Doing Survival takes out random luck in the playoffs and allows the most consistent teams to advance and win. You still have to set your roster and it is still your starters who will power you to victory.
If there is anyone who is absolutely against it let me know.
I'm leaning on using it unless there is a mass revolt from you all.
After the first year all rules and whatnot will be up for discussion as we see what works, what doesn't and what could use some adjusting.
Pandemic Fantasy Football League Rules
1 - Dynasty. This league is a Dynasty League which means you keep your team from year to year. After year 1 there will be a Rookie Draft before the next season begins.
2 - League Dues $50 per year.
If, due to Covid-19, the NFL league does not happen then entry fees will be refunded.
For 2020 all fees must be collected before week 3 of the NFL season
Payment options will be Paypal, Venmo, or face to face handoff of cold hard cash
For all seasons after 2020 Payment must be made 1 week before the draft or we will find a replacement coach.
3 - League will be run through the Sleeper App (on smartphones) or Sleeper.app website.
4 - Playoffs: 6 Teams will make the playoffs
Top 4 teams automatically advance to the playoffs.
Team who scores most points last 4 weeks gets spot 5
Team who scored the most all season that didn’t make playoffs gets spot 6
5 - Playoffs are Survival instead of Match-ups
NFL Week 14: 6 Playoff teams play. Top 4 scoring teams advance.
NFL Week 15: From Top 4 - Top two scoring teams advance. From Bottom 2 - Play to determine draft order (5th and 6th spot)
NFL Week 16: Top Two teams play for Super Bowl. Previous two losing teams play for draft order (3rd and 4th position)
6 - Toilet Bowl - Reverse Survival - Best Ball.
Teams competing for the Toilet Bowl - If you try to drop your good players to pick up worse ones so that you can get a better draft position you need to realize that the other teams Can and Will pick up your studs which will leave you in a worse position next season.
NFL Week 14: 6 Non-Playoff teams play. Bottom 4 scoring teams advance. Top 2 teams get ranked #7 and #8 (based on score) for final league rankings and next year’s Rookie Draft
NFL Week 15: From Bottom 4 - Bottom 2 scoring teams advance. Top 2 teams get ranked #9 and #10 (based on score) for final league rankings and next year’s Rookie Draft.
NFL Week 16: Final teams battle it out to see who is the worst team in the league, receiving the Toilet Bowl Award and the 1st pick in next year's rookie draft.
7 - Coach of the Year
Coach of the year is determined by the largest differential between their starting lineups vs their bench spots. The theory behind this award is when your starters score more than your bench you are making the right decisions for your match-ups, thus being a better coach.
$50 prize which is paid up as your entry fee into the next season.
